I found the site, http://www.boat-registration-numbers.com and started
to order boat registration numbers for my jet ski but realized that
they may be different in size. Can anyone clear up the difference
between the two. Thanks, Johnny

The legal requirement is the same, three inches tall.
If you look for 'jetski' numbers you might find some more
interesting colors to match your ski than the usual black
for boats. Just make sure its a good contrasting color.

No difference and here in Virginia, they have gotten hardass about block
letters only, in a contrasting color (which the DNR pretty much defines
as black on white or white on black or dark color). They are actually
writing tickets for having a more stylish type lettering so we've all
gone to basic black block letters.

I second what Tom said. I got a warning ticket for numbers that were purple
and yellow with black outline on a white hull (900 ZXi) on Kerr lake because
the patrol boat couldn't see them clearly when I was requested to circle
them from 25ft away. Mine are all black now and no problem with them since
