Hi, new to the group, love Sea Doos and a friend is letting me use his for
the summer. It has been sitting a year, so i did some cleaning and toping
off of the gas and oil. 1st voyage out, i try and get on plane, gets half
way there then just tachs up with no more increased speed. Came back to the
ramp and pulled it out, much to my surprise the intake grate is gone. Its
been gone a while from the looks of it. Was it cavitation i was
experiencing??? I purchased a soles intake grate and will install tomorrow
night. is 90.00 too much for that grate?? Also this ski has a k&n filter
intake system, good bad indifferent??? Since i am getting to use this when i
want, i don't mind dropping a bit of cash into it, i always like to return
things better then when i got them. Is there anything else i need to check
or watch for on this thing? Any lube points? What are the correct plugs for
this? It would be a good idea to change them right? Also, i have checked,
the wear ring to impeller looks good, no large gap. So that's a good thing
right??? Any info or tips or tricks would be great!! Also notice a lot of
you are from NC. I will be running this in the sounds on the NC coast, do
all i need is a fire extinguisher and registration or is there more?
Thanks!!!!!! Also excuse the signature, i hover around the jeep and 4x4
boards so i gotta give my rides specs!!! Thanks again!

How about these, 80 cj 7 chevy 350 8 inches of lift 36x16.50s awesome shape
84 cj7 10 inches of lift 36x14.50
85 just finished restore 33x12.50
Round headlights, no cruise control true 4 wheel drive and can actually go
offroad, no crappy puegot trannys or new process transfer cases that have
terrible shift linkages...
Next time please list a jeep, not something that has cruise control, leather
seating, power seats, jeeps have round headlights, minimal interior, only the
necesary gauges and can actually go offroad.
Anymore questions? >> Stay informed about: 94 Sea Doo GTX tips, tricks info..... |

Well my jeep before these was:
1981 CJ7
360 V8
750 CFM Holley
Offenhouser intake
tube bumper in the back w/reciever
Hard top/soft top/half top
35x12.50 BFG Mudd Terrians
4 speed on the floor
4hi 4lo 2hi 2lo
I could take this jeep and twist up one front tire on accelleration and
could go anywhere in 2wd. A have also burnt 50yrs with it. I do agree that
is a "real" jeep but my other 3 that i own now are truly offroad ready. I
have never had a stock jeep for more then a month.
